Nature has long been serving as the main source of inspiration for Fung's subjects, as he is much fascinated by its natural rhythmic flow, and its never ending and continuous movements. In his works, ambiguous depictions of elements of nature, such as rivers, forests, trees, and bushes, are now turned into dynamic, energetic gestures and lines. His new exhibition, “Metamorphosis , showcases Fung's powerful means of exploring themes of change, growth, and evolution, inviting viewers to contemplate the transformative nature of existence and the possibilities of personal and collective transformation.

This duo exhibition, Inhale Courage brings two Hong Kong artists Sharon Cheung and Jeremy Fung to the eyes of the world. The two Hong Kong artists want to pay tribute to leaders from different parts of the world and different fields who have contributed to human civilisation, peace and freedom.

Co-presented by Hong Kong Arts Centre, and Hong Kong Art School, and curated by Hong Kong Art School Alumni Network. This exhibition is curated by Miss Shirky Chan, showcasing more than 30 art pieces created by our alumni artists over the years and collected by 9 renowned collectors in Hong Kong.

“Sketching and speedwriting are all about immediacy. Our feelings will be different and irregular in every moment, and the act of sketching is to grasp the irregular rhythm and unpredictable emotions at that moment.” Jeremy Fung said.

He believes his direction of life could be guided by self-confrontation. As Heidegger said. “There is no absolute distance between our lives and us. We are our life, and the lucidity of our life is the nature of it.”

When two artists meet, will their works be a simple sum of the two like the arithmetic formula of 1+1=2, or will they produce works of even more variations?

When they share ideas, views and technical experience, do they look for similarities or differences?

“+1” has invited 28 Hong Kong Art School alumni to initiate 14 dialogues, which presents the audience with different possibilities through the connection betweentheir works and dialogues.

For Fung, his works aim to envelope the viewer. The varying scale and tactile nature of his works invite viewers into his world, rather than assumingthe role of an outsider. He constantly experiments with new mediums, exploring complex themes of existence and family.

這次作品展，是藝術家的一個心情紀錄，把這兩年他看見香港的變化都轉化入大自然中，由它們代替他說故事。
